Potatoes South Africa in action in the Eastern Cape, Louterwater area

The Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform visited one of the transformation farmers, Rowan Kapank on 26 October 2021. Potatoes South Africa’s regional manager and mentor, Terence Brown gave them a brief review on the production of potatoes and all the planning (soil, water, fertilizer, chemicals etc) that goes into Potatoes SA Transformation projects all over South Africa. He also mentioned that it is expensive and a complicated crop to produce, but with the guidance of Potatoes SA and role-players such as The Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, job opportunities can be created and food security ensured.
