The second year’s spacing trial in Tom Burke at 2 locations were harvested on 19 and 25 October 2021. The aim of the trial is to determine the most economic option for a specific size of seed for this specific region. The treatments included three different size of seed tubers (140, 250 and 400 count) in combination with 5 spacings (25.5 cm, 30.5 cm, 34 cm, 39.5 cm and 44 cm). This year Potatoes SA and the participants are very excited regarding the promising results.
