The Dendron cultivar trial was planted on 11 May 2021 at Zandput Farm. These independent trials enable farmers to evaluate which cultivar, especially new cultivars, will perform best under their environmental conditions. Thirteen cultivars were planted in a randomised complete block design with three replicates. The trial was then harvested on 30 September 2021, as seen in the photos. The average trial yield was 70.4 t/ha.
