Hierbo is 'n Excel sigblad model wat gebruik kan word om die vervoerkoste per 10kg sakkie aartappels te bereken. Produsente kan hul eie gegewens in die geel blokkies invul. Vergelykende syfers vir 'n "7-as interlink" word ook aangetoon.

Die model bestaan uit die volgende 6 sigblaaie:

1. AgtergrondDie model word verduidelik, asook alle aannames word aangetoon.

2. Vraag
Die volgende vraag word gevra – "Wanneer is 'n trok 'n trok?"

3.  Produkte wat vervoer word'n Uiteensetting van die jaarlikse verbruik van die spesifieke voertuig word gedoen. Produsente gebruik die geel blokkies om sy eie voertuig se vervoeraktiwiteite op te som, byvoorbeeld hoeveel word na watter markte vervoer.

4.  Vaste- en lopendekostesDie onderskeie koste-items word uiteengesit. Produsente gebruik die geel blokkies om sy eie voertuig se werklike/beraamde kostes in te lees. Dit word vergelyk met 'n "7-as interlink".

Die aanname word gemaak dat die voertuig gefinansier word – maandelikse paaiemente dus.

5.  Resultaat'n Opsomming van die beraamde koste vir `n 12 maande tydperk word uiteengesit. Die koste per jaar, per kilometer, per rit en per 10 kg sakkie word gespesifiseer, gegewe die data wat by die 3de sigblad ingelees is.

Wanneer die data wat in die 3de sigblad ingelees is, verander word, verander die koste syfers in die "Resultaat" sigblad. Verskillende scenario's se effek op die koste per 10 kg sakkie vervoer, kan dus getoets word.

6.  EienaarskapkosteBerekeninge word gedoen vir as produsente nie van finansiering gebruik maak nie. Die "Eienaarskap koste" (waardevermindering & rente) word in so 'n geval bereken.

Above is an Excel spreadsheet model which can be used to calculate the transportation cost of a 10kg bag of potatoes.  Producers can enter their own data into the yellow blocks. Comparative figures for a "7-axle interlink" are also indicated.

The model consists of the following 6 spreadsheets:

1. BackgroundThe model is explained and all assumptions are also indicated.

2. Question
The following question can be asked - "When is a truck a truck?"

3.  Products that are transportedA breakdown of the annual usage of the specific vehicle is done. Producers use the yellow blocks to summarise their own vehicle's transportation activities, for example how much are transported to which markets. 

4.  Fixed & Running costsThe various cost items are given. Producers use the yellow blocks to fill in in his own vehicle's actual/estimated costs. It is compared with a "7-axle interlink".

The assumption is made that the vehicle is financed - thus monthly installments.

5.  ResultsA summary for the estimated cost of a 12 month period is also given.  The cost per year, per kilometre and per 10kg bag of potatoes is specified, based on the data entered on the 3rd spreadsheet.

When the data entered on the 3rd spreadsheet is changed, the cost figures on the "Results" spreadsheet change correspondingly. The effect of various scenarios on the cost of a 10kg bag of potatoes can thus be tested.
 

6.  Ownership costCalculations are made when producers do not make use of financing. The "Ownership cost" (depreciation & interest) are calculated in such a case.
